Success Story

Good job, Mr. Balash!

Mr. Balash arrived at San Gabriel in a state of fragility, having just emerged from a battle with bilateral pneumonia that left him weakened and disoriented. Navigating the world around him proved challenging, as he struggled to follow directions and was unable to stand or walk independently, necessitating significant support for daily activities and self-care.

Yet, we are elated to share that after a mere 13 days of dedicated collaboration with our skilled physical, occupational, and speech therapists, Mr. Balash is set to return home alongside his beloved wife. He has triumphantly walked over 275 feet and can now manage all his self-care tasks. His memory and focus have improved, and as a retired portrait artist, he eagerly anticipates the revival of his creative pursuits!
